Justin Goodbread
Justin Goodbread, CFP®, is an entrepreneur and a family man as well as an outstanding financial planner. He started his first business at 16, a landscaping business that grew into a partnership.
In 2009 Justin founded Heritage Investors, where he helps individuals, businesses, and nonprofits attain their financial goals. Besides being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Justin holds Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, qualifying him as a securities agent and an investment advisor representative. He holds an associate’s degree in horticulture from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.
When he is not working or puttering in his huge vegetable garden, Justin spends time with his wife, Emily, and his children, Savannah, Justus, and Jude. He is a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Jim DeTar
Jim DeTar,CFP®, has been with Heritage Investors since 2009. His primary role there is that of registered assistant. When you call the office you will more than likely speak with Jim.
Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from Drake University. He entered the financial services industry in 2002 and later became an equity partner in a Knoxville based planning firm in 2004. Jim’s previous employment includes holding management positions for Cargill, Inc., and other processing plants in Iowa, Minnesota, and Tennessee.
Jim is a member of Concord United Methodist church where we loves singing in the choir. He and his wife Joan, have recently celebrated their 30th anniversary. Jim loves to run and has committed to completing the full Ironman in 2015.
