Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from Drake University. He entered the financial services industry in 2002 and later became an equity partner in a Knoxville based planning firm in 2004. Jim’s previous employment includes holding management positions for Cargill, Inc. and other processing plants in Iowa, Minnesota, and Tennessee.

Julie Fitch joined Heritage Investors in early 2016 as an Executive Assistant for Justin and Jim. Julie holds a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Secondary Education. She has held many positions ranging from Office Manager for a private institution in Florida to a Client Relations Concierge at a financial planning firm in Connecticut.
Julie currently homeschools her three children and enjoys the challenge of a busy lifestyle. Julie spent a few years recording music and loves to exercise and travel. Her favorite vocal group is Italian and she'd rather organize a closet than cook a meal.
As the newest member of the team, John comes to Heritage Investors with an eclectic set of skills ranging from being a graphic designer at multiple ad agencies in Knoxville to an Art Director building niche magazines sold on newsstands across North America. John brings to Heritage Investors years of experience in inbound marketing, e-commerce, and email strategy, leading teams of designers, web developers, and writers in his role as an Inbound Project Manager.
A loving husband and father of two teenagers, John loves outdoor activities like hiking, canoeing, and mountain biking the trails of East Tennessee. When he cannot be outside, he is passionate about fine art photography, "hunt-and-pecking" on the guitar, being an active member of NorthStar church, and “recycling” bicycles for the neighborhood kids or charity.
In pursuit of a childhood dream, Raquel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting from the University of Tennessee. Post-graduation, she spent eight years in the television industry, working in both local news and production. She began her career at the NBC affiliate in the Tri-Cities. After a year, she moved on to join WBIR-TV, where she worked in conjunction with other Channel 10 team members to deliver news “Straight from the Heart”. With the birth of her first child, she desired a slower pace than the news industry offered. She then shifted her career focus to field producing for the Christian Broadcasting Network. There she produced numerous stories for their flagship show, The 700 Club.
In 2009, Raquel set aside her creative skills to focus on raising her children and supporting her husband as he embarked on his first pastorate. She teamed up with Heritage Investors in early 2016 to help create and polish articles written for the company’s growing financial blog, Financially Simple. As a mother of seven, she spends her "free time" chasing five children under five and homeschooling two others.
